6 Months Old!

I need to get pictures of Christmas up, but in the meantime, here are Macie's 6 month pictures. It was so much fun getting to do pictures again. This could be one of my favorite pasttimes! :)

What's new???

Well, not a lot has been going on with us lately.  Macie and I are just working, and Dustin is working and going to school.  This week is finals, so Dustin will have a break and hopefully get over his sickness.  He's been sick now for awhile, and just can't seem to get better.  Luckily for me, I was brave and got a flu shot a few weeks ago, so I'm doing good.  :)  Dustin gets his next week with Macie.  Anyway, here are just a few pictures to keep you all updated on how cute Macie is.  :)  She will be six months on Wednesday, and she's sitting up and eating baby food.  Here are a couple pictures of her actually smiling.  It's rough getting these ones.  Don't mind her hair in all these pictures.  Dustin kindly pointed out that she looks like a Dr. Suess character.

This is her first pony tail.  Dustin kept begging me to try it, but I just hadn't ever had the ambition.  I left her home from work one day, and I came home and Dustin had done her hair in pig tails.  She's lacking hair on one side, so we re-did it and just put it in one pony on top of her head.  I must say, I'm a fan.

Macie has her daddy's mouth.  That's for sure.  Hopefully she'll grow up and get his big beautiful smile, but for now she just uses it to shove stuff in.  She gets really mad when she can't get the entire baby wipe container in her mouth.  Needless to say, I have to watch what she gets her hands on.

This would be Angie's doing at work.  We go through lots of post-its at work.  Macie is really good at getting herself around in this little walker.  Angie thinks she is really good at delivering notes.

This is Macie's very first Aggie basketball game.  Her and daddy were twinners.  She looked so cute!

And here is Macie mastering the piano.  She likes being able to make loud sounds.

Anyway, not a ton going on with us, but now that school is wrapping up for the semester and Christmas parties are coming, we'll be going and going.  I love this season, and I hope everyone has a good time with family and friends!

2 Tags

I'm still putting off putting up pictures of my house because my old roommate, Kaleena, promised me she'd come help me decorate. :) So once she comes to help, I'll put up some pictures. Anyway, in the meantime, here are two tags I thought could be fun.

1. Where did you meet your husband? He played baseball for our school, and what a hottie!
2. How long did you date before you got married? Well, 2 years in high school, then about 5 months after he got home from his mission.
3. How long have you been married? Almost 3 years.
4. What does he do to surprise you? Picks up his socks, hangs up his towel... :)
5. What is your favorite feature of his? His smile! And his body type (which sounds weird because he's shorter than me, but I love the way he's built.)
6.What is your favorite quality? How he treats me.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? He just calls me hon.
8. What is his favorite food? Biscuits and gravy....I've never made that. Hmm..maybe I should?
9. What is his favorite sport? Baseball
10. When and where did you first kiss? At his house in Bancroft outside before I drove home.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Pretty much anything we can do together is fun.
12.Do you have children? One girl, Macie Lourene.
13. Does he have any hidden talents? He's played the violin since he was seven.
14. How old is he? 24
15. Who said I love you first? He did.
16. What is his favorite music? He likes rock. Smashing Pumpkins.
17. What do you admire most about him? How he is so driven in everything he does. He never does something halfway. That's impressive.
18. What is his favorite color? I don't know if he really has a favorite color.
19. Will he read this? He wouldn't if I hadn't told him I was doing a tag about him. Now he probably will and be embarrassed and make me change it. :)
20. People I tag. Kaleena, Jesse, Jess, Kristin, Celeste, Beth, Tawny, all my roommates...anyone who would like to tell us about your wonderful husbands.

Homeowners!

Yes, it is official...actually it was official on November 5th. We are homeowners! I've been procrastinating putting anything on our blog because I don't have any pictures yet. Why would I show everyone pictures of boxes. I know, I know...I've been here for almost two weeks, but once we actually moved in, neither of us felt like doing anything. So here we sit...still not really unpacked very much. Anyway, we are getting there, kind of, and when we get it a little more presentable, I'll post pictures. We are just so grateful to finally be here, and we really appreciate all of those who helped us move, and for those who watched Macie while we were building. We love you all!

Halloween Festivities!

Well, our Halloween wasn't really very exciting. Macie and I took the day off work to clean our house. We cleaned all day. How fun is that? But it got better because I put Macie in her witch costume and took her to Lee's to get some candy, then we all went to the Aggie basketball game. It was Macie's first game not in my tummy. She did good til about halftime when she got tired and fell asleep. These pictures don't really do her justice because she really did look cute. Thanks to a lady in my ward who let me borrow the outfit!

My Sleeping Babes...

So people always say how sweet their baby looks while they are asleep. I agree, but for some reason I have trouble getting good pictures of Macie when she's sleeping. Is anybody seeing a pattern here?

I'm not sure why, but she just falls right to sleep as long as she can pull a blanket up close to her face.  Dustin was getting Macie in her pj's and forgot to unbutton her shirt before he took it off.  I was in the kitchen and was listening to him just laugh and laugh.  Now I can see why.
Here is Macie and I, hard at work.

Anyway, not a lot going on. Just trying to get an inspection on our house so we can close. We'll hopefully be posting soon as official homeowners...who knows when that will be. :)

Updates of the House

Well, these pictures actually aren't very recent, but it's a little something. We actually do have siding and rock, but this is just a picture of the house before that...framed and all.

We have the kitchen that Dustin is very proud of. He picked the floor and the cabinets. He actually picked almost everything in our house. I lack the "vision". He did a great job. It's obviously dirty in this picture, so I'm excited when it's all done and clean so you can have a better idea of how it looks. We also have countertops and appliances now, but those pictures will have to come later.

And here we have our living room. The middle where all the junk is will have carpet.

Basically we have to still build our deck, finish a little bit of trim, get toilets, and do carpet. That's about it. Oh, and a garage door. We are hoping to be in there in a couple more weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for us, though.

Better Late Than Never...

I was aiming for the three month pictures, but ended up doing them at 16 weeks instead.  I guess it's close, right?  Anyway, it was one of the funnest things I've done for a long time!  It was like a photo shoot!  A girl I work with let me know her roommate worked for a photographer, so I decided to get these pictures done.  I think it was totally worth it!  I really am going to put pictures on here besides Macie one of these days, but it was just so fun, and I thought they turned out pretty cute!

For those of you who are concerned, we are coming along nicely on our house. We aren't in yet, but updated house pictures will be coming soon.

It Works!!!

So our internet has been down for about a month, and I finally found the time to call and get a new modem thing sent to us. I am SO excited now! I have been wanting to post for so long, and now that I can, I don't really have much to say. I guess I will just treat everyone to some super cute pictures of the babes.

Minus the sleeping picture (which is how she sleeps at work...when and if she sleeps) she has the same look in ALL her pictures. She really is a happy baby, but that flash sure does something to startle her. She's always wondering what is going on. One of these days I'll get a good smiling picture to post. Stay tuned for hopefully more posts before another 8 months go by! :)
