Gymnastics Show

A few weeks ago Macie had her first gymnastics show. She did so good, and it was SO fun going to watch her. Here's a few pictures from the event.

New Project!

So I did something crazy and opened up an Etsy store.  I've been thinking about doing it for awhile, but I've been too afraid to commit.  Thanks to a good friend here who has answered my billions of questions, and to Beth for pushing me over the edge... :)...I finally did it.  I just want to try it for awhile and see how things go.  Just thought I'd let everyone know.  I also made a blog to post pictures of projects and stuff like that.  Nothing fancy.  My blog is www.momalldayhookallnite.blogspot.com, and my etsy shop is www.etsy.com/shop/momalldayhookallnite .  I added them both to my side bar thingy, so that's easy to find.  Check it out and let me know what you think!

Easter 2012

We had such a fun Easter! We really tried to teach our kids about why we celebrate Easter. On the Monday before Easter, we had a family night on why we celebrate Easter. Obviously we realized Macie wasn't going to grasp the whole concept of the atonement, who really can? But we told our kids about how Jesus died and came back to life. He did this because he loves us and since he did, we can come back to life and be with our families after we die. All week, we tried to remind her about why we celebrate Easter.
Saturday morning, we headed over to our Easter Egg Hunt. We JUST barely missed it. It was my fault because I thought it was somewhere else, and Dustin, being the nice husband he is, checked that place out first. We literally just missed it. You know how long those things last..about 20 seconds. Anyway, I obviously have some issues, being pregnant and all, so Macie and I just cried. :) Then I realized there was another hunt in Afton. We weren't planning on going, I wouldn't really make the drive, but we decided to since Macie was so broken hearted. I'm so glad we did. Totally worth it to see my kids so excited! Macie had a hard time since she was still a little sad she missed the earlier hunt, so she's cuddling with daddy.
They were so excited because they got to see the Easter Bunny at this hunt. That was super cool for them.I love this picture. I wanted to show how many eggs they got. Macie wanted me to hold her hand the whole time, so I got no pictures during the 20 second hunt, and she hardly got any eggs because she woudn't let go of me. Not like her at all. Anyway, luckily I ran into a girl from Soda who was willing to give up some of her daughter's eggs. Macie and Noah each got about three eggs, then a couple from the Easter Bunny. But at least they were super excited to eat the candy. :)Saturday night, we painted eggs. These guys loved painting eggs. Who doesn't? They were sad when all the eggs were colored, so they just kept coloring them over and over. Why not, right? And Noah...how's that vinegar and water? YUM!!!Noah is such a jokester and thinks he's funny. He was making tons of faces at us, but this one is pretty funny, and it shows his blue hands.Macie got some little scriptures in her basket, and she's obsessed! (It's just a handheld size BOM with a crocheted cover on it. SUPER cute I might add!) Now Noah walks around saying, "Own scriptures...own scriptures."We got these guys ready for church. What cute kids!We really had a great Easter. It was special to us teaching our kids about Christ, even thought they didn't really pick up on a ton. It was also nice for us to reflect on our Savior and what He has made possible for all of us. We are so blessed.
