Fun in the Sun

Dustin and I went to Orlando, Florida last week because he competed in a wastewater treatment competition. They qualified here in Utah to go to Nationals even though it was Utah State's first year competing. They did such a good job in Orlando! (I got to go watch). It was very interesting believe it or not, and it made me even more proud of him. He's so smart! :) We got to stay in this sweet condo place. It was super nice. Oh, I have to tell this one story. While we were driving to our condo, I saw an armadillo crossing the road. No, not a skunk, an armadillo! Crazy. Anyway, since we were in Orlando (and it's hurricane season) we went on a cruise as well. We rented a car and drove to Miami. We left from there and went to Key West and Cozumel. It was tons of fun, and nice to be in the sun. Here are a few pictures. This is when we are leaving Miami.

Our ship. Imagination!

Here we are in Cozumel.

Storm? What storm is coming? It poured on us! I doesn't rain like that in Logan. It rained HARD for about an hour, maybe? Then the sun came back out and we went back out to enjoy it.

Here is the deck on our boat. We had such a good time!

So Friday, we got back to Miami at like 8:00 in the morning, but our flight wasn't until 6:00 at night, so we went on a tour of the Everglades. It was so cool! We saw alligators, crocodiles, turtles, fish, birds...good times.

Here's the fan boat we went on. That thing can turn on the water. It was awesome.

So we sat down on the boat and felt a couple rain drops. We took off, got poured on for about one minute, but it did enough. Dustin doesn't even look wet. How lucky to be a guy.

Here's an alligator.

No, we didn't forget about Macie. She stayed in Bancroft with Dustin's mom. I missed her so much, but she had such a good time! What a lucky little girl. How cute is she? :)

Crazy Summer!

So I haven't updated in a long time because this summer has been a little wild. Here are just a few pictures of the things we've been up to. We went camping in Bear Lake with Luke and Natalie (our neighbors). It was a little cold that day at the beach, but it was still a good time.

We had our family reunion in Island Park. It was way fun. I haven't been to Island Park since a family reunion when I was a little tyke. We got to go see Guys and Dolls in West Yellowstone. Thanks for watching our kids everyone! I don't have many pictures of the reunion, but we did go on a little walk with everyone. All the kids, Ife, and Tony got to play in the water.

Then we went to Green River to float down the Green River. Imagine that! We left Macie in Bancroft with Dustin's mom. Thanks! I don't think she would have liked sitting in a canoe in the heat for two days. We went 50 miles in two days. It was fun, too! Here's all of us getting ready to push out.

Look how cute Dustin is! He looks smokin' in his cowboy hat and sunglasses. :)

Here's me and Dustin. Skyler and Miranda are in the back. Look at what a good idea they had! I wish I had that idea. That umbrella served for some great shade and a little sail at times.

I had to put this picture in. Here's Hanna coming back with her "poo bucket". Dustin had to get a picture.

The next weekend we drove to Denver for one nephews birthday and a new nephews baby blessing. Celeste, Ife, Saki, and Kaveni rode with us. The kids actually did really well on the long drive. Here's Macie starting out. It was her first time in a big girl carseat. She loves it.

In Denver, we went to walk around at this outdoor outlet place. The kids just played here where all these little fountains shoot up. Macie loved it and got 100% soaked.

Then we went over to Outdoor World. They had this little section where you could shoot at targets. Who taught Celeste how to hold a gun? :)

And here's Dustin shooting. He did a great job. It was super fun.

That's about the extent of our big travels over the summer. We had lots of fun and put lots of miles on our car. It's a little nice to be home and be able to work on some projects around the house. We'll add some of those pictures here soon! It's been great getting stuff done!

Fourth of July Festivities!

For the 4th we went to Soda. It was a good time. They did the annual foam party on Friday. I took Macie, but she wasn't interested. She didn't like the foam, but she sure had to help Celeste push Kaveni in the stroller.

We went climbing up Sulfer Canyon again. Macie was loving the outdoors...like always. She was being so funny! She'd walk around to the leaves she could reach and kiss them. It was hilarious.

Cody, Macie, and Carly.
The grandkids who showed up.

Here are my siblings that came. Tawny, Kristy, DeDe, Cindy, Camille, Cody, Celeste, and me.

Macie didn't get a ton of candy, but Dustin did. :)

This was hilarious! Cody and Cindy had to get in on the fun. They did this whole gladiator thing. (Sorry Cindy! I can't get my movie to work, so I'll have to figure it out for you so Patrick can see it. SO FUNNY!)

I got to see a bunch of my high school friends. Here's me and Jennie.

After the parade, we went to Hooper Springs to hang out where it wasn't quite as crowded. Here's everyone sitting down to eat lunch.

I just had to put this picture on here. Jennie gave Macie this cutest dress ever! It has a matching flower you can't see too good, but it's SO CUTE! Thanks Jen!

We had a great 4th weekend. We got to go see the fireworks in Lava with Dustin's family. I'm just so grateful we get to celebrate the 4th and remember how lucky we are to live here.

Happy Father's Day!

I didn't take any pictures on Father's Day because I didn't do anything for Dustin until Monday. Long story, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I have an awesome husband! He's an awesome dad and my very best friend. I love him so much, and I'm so lucky to have him in my life. I love you Dustin! Thanks for being perfect for me!

Recent Activities...

So we have gone climbing a lot lately, so here are a few pictures.

Here are just some random pictures. Dustin told me if I made the pancake batter, he'd make the pancakes. He only had to make four...for four of us.

Macie just sitting at this little table at work, drawing.

Sitting on Dad's motorcycle.

Dustin was laughing so hard when he saw her. She found the can opener and a can of beans and pretended like she was opening it. She does so many things acting like a big girl. It kills me.

Playing in the dirt at Bear Lake.
