Blessing Day!

On July 6th, we blessed Macie. It was a really good day. Dustin did a great job. It was a beautiful blessing. I'm so glad Dustin is such a good husband and daddy. Macie looked very pretty in her blessing dress. Her whole ensemble was made by her Great-Grandma Forsgren. She was blessed in a shawl made by her Great-Grandma Merrill. It was nice of everyone to drive and come see us. I think there were only 3 siblings missing from my side. That's not too bad.




After the blessing, we went to Mac Park to have a little BBQ. We had to get a bum shot so we could see all the cute ruffles of the dress.

I should have thought and had a big family picture of all those who were there, but what are the chances with families the size of ours. Anyway, it was a crazy day, but it all turned out great, and we had a fabulous time.

Happy 4th!

Macie's first 4th of July was pretty fun. We drove up to Bancroft Thursday night and got there at about 1:00 AM. Grandma was so excited to see her she cried, of course, and then had to visit for a few hours before we could go to bed. :) Friday, we went to Soda to the parade. It was fun seeing the family. Macie slept through her first parade, but what else would she do at three and half weeks, right?

It was fun getting a festive outfit for Macie. I should have thought about something for Dustin, though. Good thing we all know he doesn't care. Macie is a face scratcher, so we had little mittens on her, but one fell on the road, so I didn't put it back on her. She sucks on them, and she's still my first baby. Lucky for me, Grandma Wadsworth gave her a manicure (filed her nails in other words) while we were there.

This was the first time Macie got to meet her cousin Saki.

Also the first time she got to meet her cousins Dallin and Lilli.

It was good going to Soda since I haven't been there for the 4th since I graduated high school. And of course it is always fun seeing family.

Is it just me? Or can anyone else see a resemblance? Must be the hair.

Two weeks...

Well, I obviously can't stop posting pictures of our little one. Might as well, she's much cuter than me. We took Macie in for her two week appointment. When she was born, she was 7 pounds 9 ounces, and 20 inches. She's now 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches. It's funny how fast they grow. She seems like a little lady to me now, not a baby. Anyway, here are a few pictures I thought were kind of cute.

This one makes me think that babies HAVE to be thinking something. She just seems deep in thought...or pushing a little bit.


One of these days I'll start putting pictures of me and Dustin, but I don't think to take many of us, just Macie. We aren't new proud parents, right? It's just been tons of fun. We love our little Macie.

Happy First Father's Day!

Dustin was lucky this year and got to celebrate his first Father's Day. He was pretty excited to get a new saw to use on the house.

His family came up from Idaho to visit. It was the first time Macie got to meet her uncles and aunt. Grandpa Wadsworth hopefully enjoyed his first Father's Day as a grandpa. Kara and the boys just couldn't get enough of Macie. It was pretty cute.

And of course, the whole reason we were able to celebrate Father's Day! I think she was Dustin's very favorite gift!

I think Dustin must be a proud dad because he keeps encouraging me to put more pictures on our blog. What a sweetie! This is a random one Dustin took. He wanted to make sure he got lots of pictures.

What a bright eyed cutie. I think this one is one of Dustin's favorite pictures. She just looks so dang cute. We are so excited to have such a precious little one in our family.

Macie Lourene Hansen

This is when we very first got to the hospital, before the pain really set in. Everything else is just pictures we have so far. I must say she is quite a cutie. My water broke at 11:07 Monday night, and she was born at 5:23 AM June 10th (same day as Uncle Gregg and Cousin Madison). Things went really good, and I'm glad she's finally here!
